Young Gun! Future rockstar on the rise. Watch out now!!

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

Watch out for Brendan DiStefano, he’ll be touring the world with his music soon enough.. It blows my mind how the new generation can produce what would have taken a team of adults just 10 years ago.

Did I mention that he’s also my brother?

Brendan uses some killer software from toontrack.com to produce real “humanized” sounding drums.  We started chatting about producing the beats for his guitar tracks.  He quickly took it to the next level by finding a more analogue sounding drum program.  I think previous to the toontrack software he was using the FLstudio [fruityloops for you old schoolers].

A screenshot from an amazing hardware emulator. If you call drums hardware

I personally have a thing for Reason.. Mainly because it is more of a “hardware emulator” type program that has constantly impressed me for the last 6 years.

Brendan is able to record, publish, produce and promote his work and he does.  Big props to my bro for focusing on an amazing art form!  It makes me a happy dude to see him producing creative things… There are so many distractions these days for the youngans, its an amazing thing to be able to focus!

Keep it up Bro!!

Peace,
